Lingerie

Originally from old french meaning "made of linen". Lingerie usually refers to garments worn by females for sleeping, lounging, casual wear, feeling sexy and undergarments for their day-time clothing.

Lingerie has drastically changed over the times. In Victorian times, it was quite cumbersome and restrictive. Later, it become a rather risque item seeping with sex and lust. Nowadays, however, lingerie can be quite tasteful and actually serves many useful purposes.

One of the main purposes of day-time lingerie is to make our clothes look nicer. Wearing a beautiful lace camisole under a sheer blouse gives the blouse elegance and creates a classier look. Camisoles also hide the lines of a bra which often look messy under a blouse. Bustiers are nice enough to wear alone as tops under suit jackets or fancy sweaters depending on the occasion.

Some undergarments such as panties and pantyhose provide a small amount of spandex to make the tummy tighter so the rolls are not showing under certain types of material. Nowadays, lingerie makes us feel good about ourselves.

Whatever reason, you have for purchasing lingerie, we are sure you will find a wonderful selection here at Beautiful in Lingerie.
